*** Besides the fact that I needed about 70 pages to get into the book, it was a really good book. The story was really heavy because Dillon had to endure so many things. Because of all these cruel events he built kind of a strong personality and was able to help many other people. I think this book is important to get another point of view and to see how other people try to solve their problems. If you should have the same problem as me that you just don’t get into the book, keep in reading! I couldn’t believe that I would like the book in the beginning but now I do.

**** I liked this book a lot. It was very interesting and always kept me wondering what was going to happen next. I would definately recommend this book. This story has many unexpected twists and turns to keep you reading. Once you start, it's hard to stop.

Chinese Handcuffs had a lot to do with troubled teens. Some of these troubles include sexual assault, teenage pregnancy, drug addiction and suicide. This book covers many areas that some teens have to deal with throughout there life. I think a lot of teenagers would be able to relate to this book because it hits a lot of touchy topics between this age group. It also has a lot to do with sports, in particular, basketball. I like this book because it was very interesting to read. It definitely wasn’t a boring book because there was so much going on through out the story it was almost hard to keep up with.

This book is a very interesting book. Once you get into the book you don’t want to stop reading. There are so many twists and things going on that when you stop reading you can’t help but wonder what’s going to happen next. I think it’s a great book for this class and for teens in general. It shows how to become a leader and overcome many problems that teenagers could find and have to deal with in life. I strongly recommend reading this book.

* Didn't like the book

This book I could not follow all the way threw. Their was too much going on like jumping to people's different sides of their story and life at that time. Also, the book was really boring to me just because I couldn't stay focused on the story due to many different people talking in the book. It was about a boy named Dillon and he loses his brother in a suicide and later on in the book you'll see that he doesn't want to ever lose anyone to asuicide again. I liked Dillon because he's always going to worry about others besides himself and try to help people with their problems just as Jennifer was having with his abusive father. The book does get boring though when the story goes way to in dep were the book just starts to get boring and sleepy.

This book was sort of boring at parts. It told a story about a kid named Dillon who lost his brother to a suicide. The book also tells another story about a girl who has expericences with sexual assault. They are both connected throughout the book with basketball. The book tells about their struggles and how they make an attemt to connect with each other. I think anyone who likes books with drama should read it.

I didn’t like this book very good because I didn’t really understand it at first. But after about the first five chapters I started to like it a little more. It’s about a kid named Dillon Hemingway that’s coping with the loss of his brother Preston. He committed suicide after a long battle with drugs. This book is about kids trying to identify them selves and their future. Unless you like books that are boring, I highly doubt you would like this book.

This book was pretty interesting. It is about a young man named Dillon, who throughout the course of this book endures many hardships. In this book he has to put up with the suicide of his brother, and the suicidal mind of his best girlfriend. It doesn't seem like he will be able to make it through. How will he ever save his friend? And will he be able to let go of the guilt he carries? You will have to read and find out!!

*** The book seemed to take awhile to get started, but once it did it was a good book. I liked that it covered issues that someone might face in there life. It maybe a little confusing in some parts but it seems to all make sense in the end. It was a very interesting book and I would recommend people read it
