*** I liked this book a lot. It doesn’t take place in a concentration camp like you would expect from a book about the Second World War. The circumstances in this book are also quite unusual. You start with Daniel and his friend Armin, and they are supporters of the Nazi party. They end up in jail after they paint a swastika on a public wall (this is before Hitler came to power in 1933). After that Daniel finds that his mother is a Jewess, and that make him half Jewish. He then becomes an enemy of the Nazi’s. Read the book to discover his fate.

**** I read the book Daniel half Human. This was an interesting book. I thought it was going to be about a kid who joined the Nazi party. He finds out he half Jewish and his world is turned upside down. He now has to hide. His home is destroyed and he loses his best friend. Read this book you will enjoy it.

Daniel Half Human is about a boy named Daniel who wants to join the Nazi party, but then his parents drop a bombshell on him that he’s ½ Jewish. The book takes place during the Hitler and Nazi party up rise in the mid to late 1930’s and the early 1940’s. During the book Daniel struggles to tell his friend Armin that he’s ½ Jewish. You’ll be interested throughout the entire book. I would recommend the book is you like or are interested in WWII fiction books.

Daniel Half Human was a good book I guess. I didn’t really like the way it would just skip years. I did like the way the book started and finished though. I liked it because it was actually right about the events that take place in the war. I’m just a big history kind of person. All in all I would rate this book a 7 out of 10.

*** I think that Daniel Half Human was just an average book. The book takes place while the Nazi’s are rising to power which is interesting. Daniel wants to join the Nazi party until he finds out he is half Jewish even though he does not practice being Jewish. Once this happens it changes how Daniel and his family have to live. The reason why I only give this book a three is because it jumps back and forth and is hard to follow.
