2 thumbs up!!!!!!

I just finished reading “Once a King, Always a King.” I would definitely recommend this book for someone who is trying or who has overcome an obstacle in there life. But first I would, if you haven’t already read the first book. “My Bloody Life.” Both of this books are based around a gang member, and how hard it is to survive with all the temptations of drugs, sex, and acceptance threw violence. In the Second book he tries super hard to get out and start a new life, but always finds himself being drawn back it by the exiting/deadly life of a gang member.

**** A very good read. I would first off recommend that you read the prequel to this story “My Bloody Life” so it makes more sense. It starts off where the first book left off with Reymundo getting beaten out of the Latin Kings and reflects on his gang lifestyle. During the novel he basically tries to turn his life around. It is a very good example of overcoming adversity because of all the things that held him back from becoming completely rehabilitated. I would recommend this book to anyone I know because it covers so many subjects that you may or may not see on the streets today.

*** This book was really good. You should probably read the first book called “My Bloody Life.” This book is not quite as graphic as the first but it deals with even bigger issues. Not only does he have to overcome adversity, sexual hunger, and his need to be independent, but he has to handle providing for himself and living on his own. Reymundo tries to fix his relationship with his family, while he looks for better partners for himself. This was a great book.
