**** The Purple Emperor is an exciting continuation of Faerie Wars with just as much fun and magic to be a page turner. This book is filled with more Faerie Realm turmoil and surprises then the first book. I love the complexity and the unexpected turn of events in the plot. The heroes of the story experience new adventures and meet new intriguing characters, like Nymph and Queen Cleopatra. The villains find themselves in odd predicaments, such as Brimstone’s marriage and Hairstreak’s new evil plot to overthrow the Empire. My favorite character of this book is Nymph because of the way she met Pyrgus. I really like how fast paced and action pact this story is in between the complex politics.
**** The purple emperor is the second book in the line of the faerie wars series. It is filed with even more twists and turns around every corner than the first book. Although it may be difficult for people to read because of the constant switching between the different characters viewpoints. This book will give you a better understanding of the realm and even throws in a few new forces. It is an excellent book that I would recommend to anyone who likes to read fantasy type books.
