My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult is about a young girl with leukemia and her sister who helps in keeper her alive. In this book Anna, the girl who was born to donate to her sick sister, struggles with a problem of not being in control of her own body. The story explains her life and the decisions her parents had to make for her without Anna’s consent. It is a story full of emotion and surprises. I really enjoyed this book. I was able to relate at such a personal level because in the story Anna is thirteen and Kate is sixteen. In my life my younger sister is twelve and I am sixteen so it was a really great story for me to relate to. I would recommend this book one hundred percent.

The book My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite books because it keeps you wanting to read it just to find out what’s going to happen next. Every time you think you know what’s going to happen something you never would have expected happens. My favorite character was probably Kate, because she acts so strong about everything that she has had to go through. Some of the things she goes through I don’t think I would ever be able to handle. I felt bad for their, because they had to make the hardest decisions that a parent would ever have to make. If I could the only thing I would change about it was the ending, but besides that its really good.

I really liked this book. It was actually one of the last ones that I picked on my list but I am so glad I read it sooner. When we first looked at all the books “My Sister’s Keeper” was one that I wasn’t really sure about. It looked interesting but something about the summary on the back of the book made me question it. I loved how you got to see different parts of the story through each character’s eyes. All of the characters were so developed that you felt you actually knew the person in the story. Each of them so different and the story that each of them tell are all so interesting that I found it hard to put it down. I have no problem admitting that it made me cry because it was probably one of the best books that I have read.

I really liked this book, the thing I liked the most was that there wasn't just one narrator. It told the story from everyone's point of view and it made it so much more interesting. I also could relate to it because someone in my family that was around Anna's age had cancer and had to go through all the Chemotherapy. So it was easy for me to understand how they were feeling and how hard it is when you see someone you love going through something like that. The ending was very unexpected! It really shocked me and I liked how they made you think one thing was going to happen throughout the whole book, but it turned out it was the exact opposite of what you thought was going to happen. I would recommend this book to anyone.

*** I thought that this book was wonderful. I love the way it jumped between the different characters of the book so that you could get the story from everybody’s point of view. I only have two suggestions. Those are that she should have written from Kate’s perspective a couple of times, and that she should have ended the book differently because after all the time you’ve spent getting sucked in and attached to the characters, the ending was truly horrible. I do think that there were very important points that got across, such as you should look at the big picture, not the problem in front of you, and that you need to stand up for what you believe in even if it’s not easy to do.

****. I really liked the book My Sister’s Keeper. It is about a girl named Anna who was born a perfect match for her sister Kate. You may think that this is strange but not when her sister has leukemia and needs the spare parts to stay alive. Well, Anna doesn’t like this and she doesn’t want to just sit back and let all of these things happen to her. She takes a chance in finding herself. This book started out a little slow for me and I didn’t know if I would like it because it talks about leukemia a lot and I don’t really know anything about it. But once I gave it a chance I really liked it and it ended up to be a really good book. I thought that it was kind of cool that the author would put in so much time to make sure that what she was writing about turned out to be factually correct. Another thing that I like about this book is that at the start of each new chapter there is a new narrator. I think that this adds so much more to the book. The ending was nothing like how I expected it to be in a way that I am sure it surprised everyone. I would recommend this book to anyone who can get past the slow beginning and into the really good parts of this book.

My Sister’s Keeper ****
My Sister’s Keeper is Jodi Picoult’s best book by far. It’s about an ordinary family that has to deal with their middle child, Kate, having leukemia. Kate was only two years old when the cancer was discovered, so they decided to have another child who would be a perfect genetic match to help Kate. Anna, the genetically engineered child is struggling to find her own identity without her sister and sues her parents for the emancipation of her own body. The problem is, if Anna refuses to donate, Kate will die. Tensions run high throughout the family as Jodi Picoult explains the story through each character’s point of view. In the end, it comes down to the special bond that the sisters have. The story may seem predictable, but the end catches you by surprise. I’d recommend this book to anyone.

**** This is definitely one of my favorite books I have read. A lot of teens can relate to Anna the main character. She is left out a lot and feels like her parents don’t care about her as much as her sister Kate. Kate needs more attention because she is suffering from Leukemia. But, Anna also needs to know that her parents care about her which she is not getting enough of. Every chapter was from a different person’s point of view of pretty much the same subjects. It’s a really neat way of writing because you can learn about everyone and what there thinking. I would recommend this book to anyone, because everyone can relate somehow. Every page pretty much has unexpected emotions and surprises that you wouldn’t think is going to happen.

**** “My Sister’s Keeper” was a book that kept me crying throughout various parts of the entire book. As if Kate having a progressing form of cancer isn’t enough, you have Anna who feels like the sole purpose of her life is to be extra parts for her sister, and Jesse who is out of control because his parents don’t have any extra time to pay attention to him. Then, to top it off, Anna files a lawsuit to get medical emancipation from her parents when the topic of a kidney transplant comes up. The book jumps from different characters and from different time periods to get the different perspectives, and just when you think you know exactly what’s going to happen, the end catches you off guard and shows how ironic life can be.

**** “The Book of Lost Things” immediately reminded me of the Chronicles of Narnia, only better. It has the same theme of a child crossing into another world, but in this story, it’s about a boy trying to find his dead mother, and on his way coming across all of the fairy tales children know by heart, only twisted to where they’re not magical and inviting, but scary and ugly. To truly defeat the horrible place this other world has become and to also save the ones he loves, he has to overcome his jealousy and hurt while being manipulated by a treacherous crooked old man. He’s constantly steered off course, and seems to lose all the friends he makes along the way, and at the end, is forced to make a choice that will change the lives of him, his family, and the kingdom.

The book My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult is a really good book. I didn't know if I would like it at first, but I kept hearing it was good so I decided to read it. I really liked how it changed characters each chapter showing their point of view. It is about an average family who find out their second child, Kate is diagnosed with cancer at the age of two. Her blood type is very rare and it would take to long to find a perfect match so they decide to create a child to match Kate. Anna feels as if she is an extra to Kate and what she needs so she files a law suit against her parents for medical emancipation. The end of the book took me completely by suprise, and I really recommend the book.

****I would give this book four stars. My Sister’s Keeper is about a girl named Ana who is sick of donating body parts to keep her sister Kate alive. Ana was born just to save Kate from leukemia. This book is all about her struggle to be herself and do what she wants. I thought this book was amazing. Now I know why everyone was saying I should read it. I didn’t like the movie, there was a lot of differences from the book.

***** My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult is a really, really good book. This is probably my favorite book I have read in this class. Kate is diagnosed with leukemia at the age of two. None of her family is a perfect donor, so her parents have another child, Anna. Anna throughout 13 years of her life has donated anything her sister needs to keep her alive. The problem is, now her sister needs a kidney. Anna doesn't want to donate anything anymore, so she hires Cambell Alexander to take her parents to court. This book is very good; it makes you laugh, and also makes you cry. The ending is unexpected. I recommend this book to everyone.
