**** I really enjoyed reading this book, because it was a lot about a teenage girl and what type of adventures that she goes through. I like how it’s placed in Wisconsin and on a farm. I also like that there is some romance involved. I also got the feeling that the author wanted to show that with hard work anything can happen.

****This book is the sequel to Dairy Queen. I really liked this book because once again I was able to relate to it in a few ways. Like the main character I come from a family that has to work hard for what we have. She also likes physical activity and I am the same way. The story line can kind of take you on a roller coaster of emotion from really excited to comical and then to sadness. I really enjoyed the plot and I would definitely recommend this book to other students who like football and hard work. There is also a little romance in it as well but it isn’t all mushy so the guys might actually like this book too.

*** I thought this book was very interesting. If you read Dairy Queen I would recommend reading this. Like Dairy Queen it’s full of problems and gets you wanting to keep on reading. It’s a little better than the first one because there is more problems and you learn how DJ deals with all her problems she has going on. It’s really different watching her go through all her struggles and seeing what happens at the end.

****If you have ever read the book Dairy Queen than you have to read this sequal The Off Season! Dairy Queen leads you into this book, which tells the rest of the story. Dairy Queen will leave you hanging with questions, but The Off Season will inform you on what happens next. In this story find out what happens with D.J. and Brians relationship along with what happens with D.J.'s football career. Also, something very shocking happens in this story that you can't imagine happens. This story is full of suspense of D.J.'s life. Read this and see how D.J. grows up in the story.

**** The Off Season by Catherine Gilbert Murdock is a really good book. If you have read Dairy Queen then I would recommend you reading this book. When you read the book you will have to find out about D.J. and Brians relationship. Also something happens when you wouldn't think would ever happen to this person. I think there should be another book to see what her life style would be more like. I highly recommened this book.

****The Off Season is the sequel to Dairy Queen. DJ is starting her junior year at Red Bend High School. She is still with Brian, but not for long. DJ hurts her shoulder playing football, and has to decide between playing football for fun and playing basketball for scholarships. When her brother Win gets hurt DJ has to miss a lot of school to be in the hospital with him. DJ learns more about her self, her family, and so called boyfriend. I’m really hoping for a third book because the first two were awesome.

The Off Season is the sequel to Dairy Queen. I thought that it was an okay book but I liked Dairy Queen better because it was more about her and Brian. In The Off Season she hurts her arm and cant play for Red Bend anymore and her brother, Win, gets a spinal cord injury and she’s at the hospital with him a lot. I like how the book is set in Wisconsin but I think it portrays Wisconsin more as farming then it really is. I’m sure if you read Dairy Queen your dying to read this book.

****The Off Season is the sequel to Dairy Queen, which was a pretty good book. The Off Season is basically about DJ’s life when her brother Win gets injured in football and she has to go to the hospital with him for a while. Also DJ and Brian’s relationship is pretty touchy and her life and relationship with her family gets kind of difficult. I thought this was a pretty good book and I recommend this book to anyone who liked Dairy Queen.

****I really enjoyed this book, because it delt with a girl that lives on a farm in wisconsin. The story revolves around the things that she had to do to help her family and to put what she wanted and feelings aside. In this book there is a bit of romance. One of the best things that you can take from this book is that With hard work comes rewards. That your reward could be what you wanted all along.
