*** This was a really exciting book. The suspense was so great that I could hardly put it down. I really had to think about how the law and human ethics change over the course of time. It was hard to get into it at first, but once events started picking up, it really hooked you. I found it hard to relate to the characters, but it gave me the chance to think about my ethical beliefs about some major issues going on right now. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a Sci-Fi action book.

I really liked this book because there are continuous points of action. It grabs your attention from the very beginning and then holds it by throwing in constant twists and turns. Some people may find it difficult to follow because it jumps between the perspectives of a few different characters. Personally, I think this gives you a better view of what’s going on and makes the book more interesting. The main plot of this book is the idea of what goes through the minds of a teenager that has been told that they have been signed up to have their body separated into individual parts, in short terms, unwound. These parts are then used in the same way an organ donor’s body parts would be used. They have no personal say in whether or not this happens to them. This book tells the story of three teenagers that are trying to escape their fate of unwinding. It’s amazing how many things stand in the way of them living life as they know it.

***Neal Schusterman’s novel, “Unwind” really caught my interest. The first few chapters were a bit slow and were difficult for me to keep into, but it had just enough hint of entertainment to keep me hooked in. Once the author got the ball rolling on the action, I fell in love with the characters. The author did a great job of giving the characters real personalities and making them into people you wanted to have good things happen for them. I personally, am a big fan of stories that read from more then one perspective. I think, despite how much I hated his character at first, Lev was my favorite because I sympathies with the way he was raised to think a certain way about the world, and unwinding, and tithing. I would definitely recommend this book to people who are fans of distopias.

**** This book is a great example of the type of book that you get hooked on. Before I even started to read the actual story I was stuck on the description of the Bill of Life. Instantly from there I wanted to know where that was going. From page one I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. Although the story is kind of hard to follow, due to the different perspectives, there wasn’t a single time where I thought this is boring or I don’t want to read this. When you think of organ donors you probably think of dead peoples organs being salvaged and used for those in need. Well this book takes that beyond the pint that I thought was possible. If you enjoy suspense around every corner this is an excellent book for you!

At first its a little hard to follow but thats why its hard to put down because you want to no more. Its really interesting how all of the pieces fall together. I really recommend this book, you won't be able to put it down.

**** Unwind was an amazing book! It was non stop all the time throwing new twists and turns at you and it made it basically so you never knew what was gonna come next. It was great. The way this book was written it was like a vacuum cleaner that was on turbo or something it sucks you in and you couldn’t get away even if you wanted to. Lev, Conner and Risa will steal your brain and bring into their futuristic world where children no longer get put in time out or juvey if they’re bad enough…they get unwound. Want to know exactly what being unwound is? READ THE BOOK!! I definitely give this book a 9 rating out of 10.

**** I read the book “Unwind” by Neil Schusterman. I’d have to say this is one of my all time books. At some points it is hard to understand and follow, but once the author starts throwing in details it never stops. The problems keep coming and you don’t know what’s going to be on the next page. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. When I was reading it I never wanted to put it down.
Unwind is about Connor, a boy that got sent to be unwound by his parents. He has to last to 18 years old to not be known as government property and to escape being unwound. On his journey to escape the Juvey Cops he meets two other kids being sent to be unwound. These three kids run in to many obstacles that change their perspective to live. With trying to survive to 18 they run into people who are trying to help and have helped former unwinds. They live with maybe five kids at a time learning survival from each other and kept in hiding so no one will find them. If they make it to the grave yard they will be safe till there 18. Will they make it to the grave yard and be saved? That’s your job to find out by reading unwind.
This is one of my all time favorite books. And maybe it will be yours. Give it a try. I was skeptical of reading it in the first place, but for my it turned out to one roller coaster after another.

I loved this book—and as a huge fan of action/horror, I got sucked in like a moth to the flame. I loved how all the twists dragged you so quickly through it; it’s not the type to lag or slow down once it’s started moving and it’s fast and furious enough for a speed demon like me (which is definitely saying something). Setting it in a warped distopia where teenagers are sent off to be disemboweled with their parents’ permission was so interesting, so…morbidly sadistic that it had me hooked from the first page—the Bill of Life. My favorite character was probably either Connor or Risa because I loved how Connor was just like a wild animal, instinctive and alert, but Risa was smart with a strong will and a tough core: she’s not the type to crumble when the pressure is on. I loved these characters and their compelling story. Somehow, even in a world so different from my own, I felt a connection. READ IT!!! I highly recommend it!!!!!

Hi--me again! Okay, I'm sure it seems wierd to blog twice, but now that I've finished the book, I'd like to add a few things. Shusterman is an absolute genius at how he tied up all the loose strings at the end, and Lev turned into a crucial character in the long run, which made me happy. But the things I really wanted to put in here were that my favorite characters, whimsical as it may seem. My favorites are now Connor (as before)because he's so wild and a bit of a loose cannon but he's still got his integrity, and Hayden because he says exactly what he's thinking even if he knows it might scare people--or more accurately, because it scares people. He's a lot like me and he makes me laugh so hard.

****Unwind was a great book that keeps the reader on their toes the entire time. Unwind is a book about future society in which when a teenager turns 13 their parents have a choice to have them unwound or not. However, the three main characters Connor, Risa, and Lev have escaped the horror of being unwound and must travel from place to place to survive until the age of 18. If one makes it to age 18 they are no longer up for being unwound. In this book you follow three possible teens on a journey to survive the next so many years of their life to escape possibly being unwound. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes action filled books.

The book Unwind was pretty good. I didn’t really like how the book started off slow. But, I thought that it was cool that there was a lot of action in the book. I didn’t want to stop reading. I thought it was kind of difficult because it jumps back and forth between characters. The teenagers were being used like organ donors but, they were alive and watch themselves being taken apart. The three teen’s main goal is to not get caught and be unwound. Luckily they escape from their fate of being unwound. The book gets more interesting towards the end. I highly recommend this book!
