**** To me Catalyst seemed like a very generic book by just reading the back cover, but the actual book is full of surprises. Many high school seniors begin to freak out when they don’t get an acceptance letter to a college, but what if you didn’t get the only one you applied to? On top of that, you are now forced to be roommates with someone you do not like, and it’s all happening in your house. Do you think you would know what to do, or how to feel? When you can’t run away from things anymore, many people just don’t know what to do. In this book you have to question yourself as well as try to see the world as if you were looking at it though someone else’s eyes. You learn that things are not always what they seem, and even tragic things happen to innocent people. I really like this book, and if you give it a chance you hopefully will too.
