****Excellent Book!
This book really touched home with me because the acts in the book relate in some ways to my life before moving to Edgerton. I understood why Lil Loco joined the Latin Kings because his framily was abusive to him and he was living on the street with not to many places to stay at night and he needed protection and drugs. The main character was Lil Loco and the book is about how he tries to fit in with the gangs, killing other gang members, getting the girls, the drugs, and reputation with the latin Kings and other gangs. I liked how the story is true because this kind of stuff happens in Chicago or other big cities and other people stories are real life, not some fake crap.

***** this book was great!
I really like the book becuase it shows how your childhood can really dictate how you are going to live you life. Remundo was a good kid but had a bad home life and wanted to belong. And the gang family was his way of finding people that cared for him. But along with the brotherhood you get with the gang, you also have to deal with the vilonce and the drug use. In my bloody life i really liked how detail it was and how it talked about drugs and the fighting of rival gangs. Threwout the hole book i was just wondering to my self what was going to happen next, or who Remundo was going to go and shoot at. I also like how it was a true story about this guys life. It really made me respect him for sharing what he did. I deffinitlly think you should read this book if you like to read about Drugs,Sex,or Vilence.

***** I give “My bloody life” 4 stars because I thought this was a great book. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading it. Lil loco is one crazy kid. He starts out by coming from Porto Rico as a good kid but has an abusive family. The only people that gave him respect were the gang members so he started hanging around with them. For him to get higher in the gang he would have to kill someone or do something to a rival gang. i thought the book was very detailed on how Lil loco would act on some of the hits towards the other gangs. He had to overcome the gang life and had to find a way out to a better life witch I think would be hard to do when the gang is pretty much your family. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about drugs and violence.

*** I liked this book because there was suspense in it witch made me wanting to keep reading it. I thought that it was some what hard to follow in the begging because of the different groups and how the one keep switching between them. Other than that it was a really good book. It shows how that if your childhood is not good and sucks then it shows like how its going to be when you got older if you don’t get help and cant stop on your own.

**** This a great book! It's the story of a young Puerto Rican teen, nicknamed Lil Loco, that has an abusive family and his mother is constantly remarrying husbands. Finally his mother and sisters move to Chicago into a Hispanic community that's run by gangs and crooked/racist cops. Lil Loco soon finds out that life on the streets isn't easy and decides he wants to be a Latin King so he can have friends that will protect him. He finds himself drawn into a world of drugs, sex, constant violence, and murder. This is one book that will keep you on the edge of your seat and is very realistic. By far the best book I’ve read all year.

****My Bloody Life was a great book. I really liked how that the author’s story is a true look into what gang life really is. The main character was born in Puerto Rico and his family then moved to Chicago. He then becomes involved with a gang called the Latin Kings and he quickly becomes a member. As he lives the gang banger lifestyle, he begins to have doubts and fears about himself as a person, and as a member of the Latin Kings. Another thing about this book was how the author noted that many people who were in gangs came from abusive families. He had written that it was their hatred that had united them together, and I like how he brings that across to the reader. This is a must read for the overcoming adversity unit.

****This book was very good. This is a book about a young boy who moves to Chicago from Puerto Rico and gets abused by his many stepfathers. He then gets involved in gang activity. After hanging with a couple other gangs, he meets the Latin Kings. When he joins them, he becomes a cold blooded killed who’s life is about sex, dugs, and money. I like how the author is telling a true story about his life and almost every detail. This is a great book and I would diffidently recommend it to everyone.

****I enjoyed reading the book my bloody life by Reymundo Sanchez. It’s the tale of a young Latino boy who comes to Chicago to join the gang life. He does many violent things and learns how to survive on the streets. While he is in the streets he learns about who he is and what he’s become. In the end he realizes what he has done to his life and the life of others and works to prevent it from happening again. I would for sure recommend this book to anyone who likes violence and fast moving action in books.

**** I give this book four stars. It was a really good book and I think it tells a lot on what is really going on today. It can happen in any town or city. It shows that kids are abused and that can lead them to do bad things. This book kept me to want to keep reading and learning more. I want to read the sequels to this book.

**** Good Book
I thought that the book My Bloody Life was a pretty interesting book. It shows the life of a kid who has problems at home and his parents move to Puerto Rico and he stays in Chicago. His step dad has a tendency to hit him. He goes out on the street at gets involved with gangs. He starts smoking weed and drinking a lot which prompts him to be a more hardcore gang banger. When he was under the influence he would kill and not feel bad about it. The book is good but it is really repetitive throughout some parts when he just has sex and does drugs but there are parts that are really interesting and I recommend anybody to read it.
