**** “Dreamland” was my favorite book by far from this unit. The author really gets you into the story and makes you see and love the characters the way Caitlin, the main character does. You also get to see her develop as a character as she changes after being with Rogerson and how they become co-dependent and she starts seeing all of her old friends and school as unimportant. She starts struggling after a turn of events in their relationship and sees herself as weak and completely isolates herself. In the end she has to rebuild her strength and figure out who she really is.

**Dreamland is about a girl who tries to find herself and ends up becoming more lost. When Caitlin's sister runs away from home, she feels abandoned and tries to fill her shoes. After a while she decides that she wants to follow a completely different path. When she falls in love with bad boy, Rogerson, she learns the hard way about self worth and strength. She falls apart and starts to build herself together. I think it is a good book for teens to read as they start dating so they can learn about different kinds of issues.

** Dreamland. Sarah Dessen’s Dreamland is an interesting book that shows the struggles some teenagers go through. Caitlin is always comparing herself to her “golden” sister Cass. But when Cass leaves, Caitlin makes many decisions to separate herself from her sister and her family. Caitlin is sucked into the life of drugs, sex, and abuse from her boyfriend Rogerson. Sarah Dessen makes the reader understand the trap that Caitlin has fallen into while struggling to find her own identity. Sarah Dessen has a good use of symbolism throughout the novel, but I had a hard time relating to the characters of the story.

***Dreamland, by Sarah Dessen is about a girl named Caitlin who faces many struggles being a teenager. Caitlin’s sister Cass leaves her behind and all alone. Caitlin doesn’t like the fact that she feels like she needs to be just as good as her sister was. She decides to take her own path which ends up hurting her in the long run. Caitlin becomes very weak and starts bringing drugs and abuse to her life. I think it’s a good book for teens to read to learn about these certain issues that Caitlin goes through in her life.

*** This book gets you hooked right from the beginning, and keeps you thinking the entire way though. I really enjoyed this book. The main character Cassie really has the pressure on her when her older, bound for Yale, sister runs away. With the “perfect” child being gone, Caitlin feels the need to fill up the empty space her sister left, even if it does not make her happy. But, if you try to be something you are not, you normally crash and burn. This book makes you try to figure out what Caitlin is thinking, and just when you think you can guess her next move, you are wrong. And once her new drug dealing boyfriend comes into the picture, things take an odd turn. I would for sure recommend this book to anyone.

***When Caitlin's older sister, Cass, leaves home without telling anyone, it tears her family apart. Forced to live in the shadow of her academically and socially achieved sister, Caitlin struggles to find who she really is. By dating Rogerson, a boy with a "bad" reputation, Caitlin finds herself in a situation that Cass would never have been in. Afraid to tell anyone what really goes on behind closed doors when she's with Rogerson, Caitlin shrinks away from her family and friends. This book is about her struggles with drugs, relationships, and forgiving her sister for leaving her behind.

Dreamland was an alright book, I had to force myself to keep reading it to get into it. It is about a normal family who has two daughters, Caitlin and Cass, Cass is class president going to Yale, good at sports, and Caitlin is always being compared to her. This books shows Caitlin struggling to find herself and who she really is. Caitlin meets Rogerson a boy with a bad reputation and falls madly in love with him, spending more time with him, and leaving her family behind.

****Dreamland was a great book. The author does a great job showing the struggles that many teenagers go through. This book was about a girl named Caitlin whose sister left on her 16th birthday. Caitlin goes through many struggles. She feels like she has to do things that her sister never did so she can be just as good as her sister. Caitlin decides to do some things that later leads her down the wrong road. This is a great book I would recommend it to anyone.
