At least, that’s how it’s supposed to happen… Wanderer has been on eight other planets, but hasn’t yet found a planet she wants to stay on. Melanie Stryder has been on the run since the invasion began, and was finally caught and given to Wanderer as a host body so that she could try and puzzle out her memories and find the others Melanie was on the run with. But Melanie won’t go away. She is a constant presence in the back of Wanderer’s mind, and getting stronger, pelting her with memories at night as dreams, and during the day, when Melanie daydreams about her past. Finally, Wanderer decides to go and find Jared, the man Melanie is in love with, and her younger brother, Jamie. But she’s in for a surprise, because they aren’t the only one’s she’ll find…
**** This is by far one of my favorite books. I might be a little biased since I really enjoyed Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. It’s about a girl named Melanie whose body is taken over by a host named Wanderer. She struggles to forget her memories of the man she once loved and her little brother. Her struggle with those memories will cause Wanderer to go against all the laws she knows with her own species. I really liked how Stephenie actually added the existence of other worlds in the book and really made the entire concept of ‘host’ species seem completely believable. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys sci-fi genres, but also with a little bit of romance, suspense, and action.

After a long wait Wander decides to go find Jared, the man Melanie is in love with, and Jamie her younger brother. But she’s going to run in some trouble, because they are not the only ones they find.
***** The Host by Stephenie Meyer my favorite book of all time. Although I'm not usually into Sci-Fi/ Fantasy books, I really enjoyed reading this one. Melanie Stryder's body has been taken over by Wanderer, an "alien". The takeover was suppose to make the Earth a better place, without anger or violence. Wanda soon realizes, with Melanie--literally stuck in her head--that the humans didn't deserve the invasion. Together, they find Jamie, Mel's brother, and Jared, the love of her life, but Wanda ends up finding a family and someone who really loves her. This action packed book is both exciting and heartbreaking. You can really feel what the characters are feeling, and that is was makes a great book. I HIGHLY recommend The Host because if people thought Twilight was good, they haven't seen anything yet.
This is an amazing book! If you read the Twilight Series and like Stephanie Meyer you will love this book to. It's not about vampires but its about our world getting taken over by these worm like things that get put in the back of the humans neck and try to take over our world. They call themselves Souls, Seekers, Healers, and then there are the Hosts. The main Character is Melanie who has not been caught yet and her little brother Jamie. One night Melanie goes looking for food and suplys trying not to get caught by the other people and she ends up running into Jared who later takes her back and protects her and Jamie to know what happens next you'll have to read and find out! It's a great book and a must read!

She and Jared get close and then Jamie and Melanie had to separate so she trusted Jared to keep Jamie safe. Once they were separated Melanie had gotten caught and had a soul put in place named, Wanderer. Wanderer had tried hard to ignore Melanie, but from Melanie's memories she fell in love with Melanie and Jared, and even her little brother Jamie. She felt that she needed to find them to assure that they were safe. So she sets out to try and find them and a few surprises along the way
