*** This book is difficult to get into at first but after a while it starts to pickup. Once it starts to pickup I was hooked. This book depicts the life of a student in the lower class of the high school ranking. The main character fits into this directly into this category but raises in the social hierarchy because of his band. His humor however is something that is lacking. The actual humor behind him is mainly held in his head and what comes out is a dry humor so to say. I love how they use songs to depict what is actually going on in the book. As awry as they may be they kept me hooked until the end. The ending of this book however is not too impressive however. Other than that in my opinion this book depicted what goes on in the every day life of a teen on the lower end of the social hierarchy.

Truly an intriguing book, told through the eyes of a sophmore in a generic highschool. It tells of his problems of his friends lost and gained. Of a mystery unfolding around him, both with what he is directly looking for and what is indirectly discovered. King Dork will enthrall you from page one and keep you locked in it's spell until the end. The best part about the book, it tells you problems that any typical teen faces, and puts a near comical spin on them, even showing how the main character overcomes them in the most unconventional way. One word of advice for when you pick this book up...Enjoy it, laugh with it, cry with it, and of course...Keep an eye on your surroundings. Espeacially those among you who read on a bus..

**While this book had interesting parts to it, I overall didn’t like it very much. The story is about a kid named Tom Henderson who is a sophtmore in high-school. He’s not a very populat guy and is constantly provoked because of this. This book is pretty free form kind like a diary. Tom talks a lot about music to, he’s trying to start a band. While this book wasn’t that good in my opinion you should at least try it.
