*** In “Looking For Alaska” it starts out as a boy without friends and without really a place in the world who’s signature is that he knows all the last words of famous people. After moving to a private school he befriends his roommate the “Colonel” and joins his group of friends including Alaska. This is the major pranking clique of the school which is a lot different from the playing-it-safe person he was back at his own school. The book leads up to a big prank but something happens that the reader is not expecting.
My favorite character in the book was the Colonel even though he was kind of bossy because he had a very loyal moody personality and always said what was on his mind. The main character who receives the name “Pudge” when he gets to his new school was kind of bland and awkward. Alaska was an ok character although she was very fickle and was constantly leading Pudge on and would randomly have mood swings for no reason.

*** “Looking for Alaska” is a great book. It is about a boy named Miles, who goes to the private school his dad once attended and he finds the love of his life, Alaska, or so he thinks. This book is full of pranks and nerdy humor that go great together. My favorite character was the Colonel. He was Miles’ friend that would do anything to sneak some alcohol or a cigarette. For instance, he mixed milk and vodka, which together, tastes like sour milk. And even though it did, he still drank it. If I picked out one thing from this book that I didn’t like, it would be that it seemed Miles was too in love with Alaska, even when he didn’t know her. It just seemed a little pathetic to me.

****Looking for Alaska was a book that deals with some important issues. The main character, nicknamed Pudge, is a boy that moves to a boarding school to find something greater in life. He makes some great friends and their idea of fun is breaking all the rules and pulling pranks. Alaska is a girl that Pudge falls in love with, but can not have. Alaska is a very mysterious character, even to the reader. In the middle of the book is a big twist that is pretty shocking. This twist is what makes the book so good.

*** "Looking for Alaska" is a great book. It's about this boy named Miles, but people call him Pudge. He goes to a private school that his dad once attended. He loves and studies the last words or people before they die. Well when he gets to the private school he meets a guy Colonel. That is Pudge's room mate and best friend. Colonel introduces Pudge to Alaska. She is a girl who is very mysterious and Pudge ends up falling in love with her. But the thing is that they both flirt and talk to each other but Alaska has a boyfriend who she says she is very loyal to. Well all three of them talk, studied, drink, smoke cigarettes, all the time. They end up becoming really close and best friends. Then Alaska disappears and they don’t know why she left, where she was going, and how she disappeared. So Pudge and the Colonel try and figure it out and the twist at the end makes the book so good. This book is heartwarming and exciting. It will teach you about trust, love, friendship, and a huge lesson; don’t drink and drive. I think people should read this book. I didn't like the beginning very much. To me it was kind of hard to get into until about half way through the book.

***"Looking for Alaska" was a pretty good book. Miles or "pudge" as they call him, goes to a private school and meets Chip or "colonel" Pudge and the Colonel become good friends along with some other friends Colonel knew from school before. Pudge instantly becomes attracted to Alsaka. Pudge wants Alaska so bad, the only thing is that she already has a boyfriend. This group of friends are good pranksters and somewhat troublemakers. They like to go and smoke and get drunk on schoolnights. On a nite that seemed so innocent, Alaska has something she has forgotten about. The next day after that everything is changed that leaves Pudge and the Colonel heartbroken. I think that this was a good book but the beginning was kindof slow.

*** Looking for Alaska by John Green. This book is about a boy named Miles, who goes to a boarding school away from home. His new roommate nicknamed “colonel” gave him a nickname “Pudge” because he was a skinny kid. Colonel had a friend Alaska who lived down the hall from Pudge and Colonel. Pudge had a thing for Alaska. His new group of friends did pranks. Which was different from who he was by always playing it safe. My favorite character was Pudge because he stood out different from the rest of the characters. Alaska was kind of weird to me because she showed different sides of her personality. I think this was a good book and advise everyone to read it. I liked how this book was different then most books we read in school.

**** Looking for Alaska is a very good book. It is about a boy named Miles who is being sent away from his high school to attend a private school. Here he becomes good friends with his roommate, the Colonel. He is then introduced to Alaska and Takumi who are big into pranks. Here they give Miles the nickname of Pudge. One of Pudge’s favorite things to do is memorize people’s last words before they die. The first minute that Pudge met Alaska, he instantly became attracted to her, but she has a boyfriend named Jake. These friends like to prank the rich kids that attend the school. Also, they like to go to the smoking hole to smoke to avoid being seen by the Eagle, the man who runs the school. During the week they also like to get drunk no matter weekday or weekend hoping they would never get caught.

***I really liked the book Looking For Alaska. It is about a boy named Miles (Pudge) who is being sent away from his high school to attend a private school. At his new school, he becomes good friends with his roommate, the Colonel. He is then introduced to Alaska and Takumi who spend most of their time coming up with all sorts of pranks. One of Pudge’s favorite things to do is study famous people’s last words before they die. The first minute that Pudge met Alaska, he instantly became attracted to her, but unfortunateky for him, she has a boyfriend named Jake. These friends like to prank the rich kids that attend the school. Also, they like to go to the smoking hole which is a little "hang out spot" where they smoke to avoid being seen by the Eagle, the man who runs the school. During the week they also like to get drunk no matter weekday or weekend hoping they would never get caught.
I think this book was really good and funny, but it is also very sad. I reccommend this book to everyone.

Looking for Alaska was one of the really good books that I read. It is about a boy named miles who goes to a private school his dad once went. He meets his roommate first, colonel and he gives him his nickname which is pudge. Then pudge got introduced to a girl that colonel knew named Alaska. Alaska was the one that people went to when they needed cigarettes or alcohol. She was more of the bad girl that didn’t follow the rules. They all started to hang out together and pudge started doing the things that alaska and colonel did. Like for instance he started to smoke and drink with them. So then one night they were al drinking together and Alaska leaves them and the next few days colonel and pudge try to figure out why she left and end up putting the pieces together. It is a very compelling book and it was hard for me to put it down. I strongly suggest you read it.

**** Looking For Alaska is an awesome book that starts out with Miles or later known as Pudge goes to this new school, and once he gets there him and his roommate Colonel become friends. One day Colonel introduces Pudge to Alaska. Alaska is a very expressive girl who Pudge falls in love with. Throughout the story they all get in some trouble and have good laughs. Eventually something not so good happens and it turns their world upside down. I would recommend this book to anyone.
