**** The Pact. Jodi Picoult’s novel The Pact is a suspenseful story with detailed events that puts you in the mind of the different characters. The book is written about two teenagers who grew up together with a brother/sister relationship and eventually fall in love. As life becomes too much to handle, they make a double suicide pact that goes terribly wrong when Emily Gold is the only one found dead. Jodi Picoult takes you back to their past where you immediately relate to the teenager’s maturing love for one another, but while Jodi writes in the present tense, you become hooked on the tragedy the other characters must deal with. You soon find out that Emily Gold is not the victim of this horrific event, but everyone else who is still alive. The only thing to criticize is that the trial aspect of the story gets a little long and little predictable. I highly suggest to everyone that they read The Pact by Jodi Picoult.

****The Pact by Jodi Picoult. The pact is an intense love story that leaves one dead. Emily and Chris were neighbors and grew up together; they were more then just boyfriend and girlfriend. The author takes you back to how things first started and then to the present to where Chris is charged for second degree murder. I liked that this book would leave you wanting to read more. I didn’t like how the author would go too much in detail.

****The Pact by Jodi Piccoult is a great book. It is about two best friends named Chris and Emily who literally have known eachother from birth. Their parents had been neighbors and their mothers quickly became best friends while being pregnant with Chris and Emily. Once old enough Chris and Emily start a relationship together, but then Emily starts to feel all of this pressure and she suddenly wants to committ suicide. Through this book you learn how Chris deals with it, and how he is being accussed of doing it. You learn about the present and then it will take you back to the "Then's" to fill in some blanks about the relationships of all the characters. This is a great book and i highly recommend it!

**** The Pact by Jodi Picoult. The pact was a suspensfull love story that turns out with one dead, and another heart broken. Chis and Emily have grown up and known eachother ever since the day that emily was born. From sleepovers to trips to the beach they were inseperable. They thought of eachother as brother and sister, but that soon grew into thinking of eachother in another aspect. Soon the pressure of being the perfect child and becomming everything that her parents expect of her turns emily to chris asking him to make a suicide pact. But the thing is emily is the only one dead. What happened that night that only emily was found dead and chris was found alive? This is a novel of true love that goes terribly wrong and you follow both chris and emily growing up, and your there through chris's trial were not every perfect family can have their way.
I would definantly recommend that everyone reads The Pact.

**** The Pact is one of the most compelling books I’ve read; the whole time I was reading it I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next and sometimes I even got frustrated when I couldn’t figure out what had actually happened to Emily.
Rob and Emily have been best friends for there entire lives, they spent literally every waking minute of their childhood together from being best friends to a serious and inseparable relationship until, one of them ended up dead and the other on trial for first degree murder. This tore their parents friendship apart, one family desperately trying to prove that their child isn’t a murderer, a murderer that killed the on person they loved more than anything else. The other family filled with hate for the people responsible for shielding their child’s killer and wanting justice for what they believe was done.
When both families get the call in the early morning hours saying their kids have been in an accident neither family suspects the drama or life changing events that are about to take place. The author shows their shock and awe bout they children’s true self’s in-between they flashbacks of them playing as toddlers or their first kiss at the ski lodge when Emily had broken her leg.
I recommend this book to everyone who can take the time to read it because it’s so worth the time.

**** The Pact was a really intense book. This is a love story about a boy named Chris and a girl named Emily. The main point is that someone ends up dying and it gets blamed on Chris. This book is really great it starts off a little slow but it speeds up pretty quick. Some parts are a little confusing but other than that I recommend this book those who like a very good ending.

The pact by Jodi Picoult. This is a love story that is very interesting and intense. It’s about a girl named Emily and a boy named Chris who are very much in love. The author talks about past things when Chris and Emily were together and things that were present like during the trial. The end of the book is very good and surprising. I liked this book because it made me want to read more. One thing that I didn’t like was that the author would talk a lot in detail what was going on, but I liked the book a lot and I recommend reading it.

The pact is a really good story about a girl named Emily Gold and her boyfriend Chris Harte. They have known eachother sence the day emily was born and have been bestfriends ever sence and there relationship grew into something more when emily was 13 and they started dating. This book shows how much you love a person that you would do anything for them even if it hurts you more. I would recommend reading It.

The pact was a compelling story about two lovebirds that have been together since they were born. Suddenly the cops are called and the police find Emily with a bullet to the head and only Chris around to say what happened. He says it was a suicide but the evidence points to a murder. Who’s telling the truth? The book was filled with twists and turns: all unexpected with a cruel ending to what may have been the perfect life. I really liked how the book jumped right into action and then told the whole story bit by bit instead spewing out the storyline. It was romantic but in a crueler sense then Romeo and Juliet but with an ending much more gruesome. It was amazing and I would recommend this book to anyone.

**** The Pact by Jodi Picoult is a great book. A girl name Emily and a boy named Chris are neighbors and have known each other since they were born. Their families were really close and then Chris and Emily started a relationship. Then Emily is under a lot of stress and wants to commit suicide. The parents of Emily and Chris get a call one morning saying that they had an accident, and when at the hospital they found out that Emily had died and that Chris is still alive. Did Chris kill Emily, or did Emily kill herself? The book jumps from the present to the past and it is easy to understand between the stitches. I recommend this book to everyone!
