***Someone Like You, Sarah Dessen. This story is filled with problems, and overcoming those problems. At the begining of the story Michael Scarlett's boyfriend is killed in a motorcyle accident, and Halley has to leave camp early to help her friend. As the reader you may think that would be the biggest problem in the story, but read and see what happens next with Scarlett! Also Halley finally finds the guy she really likes, so read and see how that relationship ends up aswell!

****I thought this book was really good. Haley is at camp for two weeks and wants to go home early because she got a phone call from her best friend Scarlet that her boyfriend got into a motorcycle accident and died. Haley bagged her mom to pick her up. Scarlet and Haley are best friends, scarlet finds out that she is pregnant and tries to decide what to do with the baby and Haley walk through the whole 9 months with her. Haley meets a Guy at school and she tries to figure him out they have PE. Together even thou he is not there most of the time, and he shows up at her house randomly. Haley's mom doesn't approve, and that is just one problem the two friends face together.

This book deals with many different problems. Scarlett was always the stronger of the two friends but when she finds out that she carries the baby of her boyfriend who died in a car accident, she needs help from her best friend Halley for the first time. The two friends have to deal with many problems. They deal with the death of Scarlett’s boyfriend, the conflict between Scarlett and her mom Marion whether she should have an abortion or not and Halley struggles with her mom when she got a new boyfriend. Scarlett and Halley change throughout the book. Halley tries to figure out her boyfriend Macon but in the end she has to notice that he wasn’t the boy she thought he would be.
I think this book was very interesting, I was impressed to see, how the two friends handle all the problems they have to face.

****This was a really good book. It is one that keeps your heart beating and it makes you smile to yourself at the end. This book discovers all the major, yet sometimes rare, high school moments. From death to pregnancy to boys to embarrassment, Someone Like You makes you feel like you can handle it all. These girls, Scarlett and Halley, go through a blessing in disguise and show true courage the whole way through. This book is very good and it is one you don’t want to miss out on.

**** This book was very good. It shows the reader that some times you need to be able to allow other people to lean on you when you were the one always leaning on them. Scarlet was the one that always let Haley lean on her but when they find out that not only has Scarlet lost her boyfriend to a motorcycle accident, but she is pregnant with his child. Over the next couple months they have to make a decision as to whether she is going to keep the child or not, and how she is going to finish school etc. This book was a page turner at times and was always a good read.

**** This was one of my favorite books I have read so far. The book has two main characters; Halley and Scarlett. The beginning throws you around for a bit and it is like a roller coaster of emotion. Scarlett is the more well liked and outgoing one and she finds out some pretty rough news followed by some very frightening news. What will she do with the news at hand? This decision will affect the rest of her life. Halley is the more laid back and quiet one. Together these two are hand in hand best friends. They will make it through anything together and this decision will really test their friendship. How far will they bend? Will they break? That is for you to find out and I suggest this book to anyone because it always keeps you interested in what will happen next.

**** I thought that Someone Like You was a very good book. Being a teen myself, I like reading books that are relative to me. Halley and Scarlette are best friends who deal with everyday problems of teenagers. Michael, Scarlett's boyfriend, dies in a horrible motorcycle accident. Halley becomes Scarlett's rock and helps her deal with his death. Then, Scarlett finds out that she's having Michael's baby. This book shows the difficulties of having a child in your teens and the consequences of making poor decisions. Sarah Dessen a very good writer for teenagers and I highly recommend this book.
