This is a book everyone needs to read. The news only tells you somuch about the war in Iraq, and people need to know what really goes on there. Personally, i could not put this book down. It is full of heart pounding action. If you are looking to go into the armed forces you definitly should read it. Sunrise Over Fallujah is a must read for the young and old.

**** Sunrise over Fallujah was a great novel, yet shows you the horror of what's going on in the War in Iraq. Would you like being a descent student and probably have a promising future? This was Robin Perry's case in this novel, yet he decided he would serve the country and join the United States Military. The book shows a lot about how there is never really "safe" in a war. Robin is in the Civil Affairs Unit, and his job is to go make the civilians of Iraq happy so that the United States Military can make more friends but not enemies. Robin, along with two of his good friends, Marla and Jonesy, are going to discover that the Civil Affairs Unit isn't as easy of a task as they thought. Land mines, ambushes, and IED's lay around everywhere waiting for American forces to come through, and they will kill everyone near it. I really did enjoy this book. It shows what's going on in Iraq and how the War was actually planned to be very simple, but with the Iraqi guerilla warfare, it is a lot harder than planned. I liked this book a lot, and I recommend it for anyone because it shows how lucky we are to live in the United States.

**** This was a really good book. It showed you a lot about the war and what was happening in it. They main character Robin Perry gets his nick name birdie after he meets Miranda and she picks on him and has a little crush on him. It is about this group of people that is in a Civil Affairs Unit. He was trying to make the Iraqis like the Americans so they could be getting more friends than enemies. Throughout the whole book they would be getting attacked with road side bombs and getting shot at. They have a couple of close calls. I would definitely recommend this book to friend.

I thought “Sunrise Over Fallujah” was a great book. It went more in depth about the war in Iraq, than what you see in newspapers or on TV. The story was about a young man, Robin Perry (later nicknamed “Birdy,”) and his first tour serving in Iraq. Birdy works with the Civil Affairs unit and his basic goal is to make peace with Iraqi civilians and wind their hearts and minds. However, it is very difficult to tell the difference between the friendly and the enemies, and Birdy finds himself in some intense situations. I would definitely recommend this book, it’s a must read.

This book is a great story and look into the war in Iraq. It shows a great look at what we were trying to get done over there and a look into the lives of the soldiers. It shows the things that the news doesn’t tell you about the war. The main group of people are in a civil affairs unit and its interesting to see what they do compared to other types of soldiers. It is a great book and everybody should read it, especially if you are interested in war or the armed forces.

****I think this book was pretty good. I gives a good perspective of the war in Iraq and how soldiers struggle to make piece. The main character Robin Perry or "Birdy" is in the civil affairs unit. He must gain the trust of the Iraqi civilians to find out were possible weapons of mass destriction are located. Throughout the book it shows how the soldiers bond with each other and become their own family. I think this is a good book for anyone interested in an amred forces career.

**** Sunrise over Fallujah by Walter Dean Myer was a good book about the war in iraq. The book was about a boy named Robin Perry, who didnt know what to do after he graduated. He ended up deciding that he was going to join the military and serve his country in the war in iraq. His job in the military was the civil affairs unit. What the civil affairs unit was assigned to do was to make freinds with the iraq people to have less enemies. This book gives a really good detail of what life was like fighting in a war. I enjoyed ready this book and recomend it to anybody that has not read this great novel.

*** “Sunrise over Fallujah” is a great book that goes into detail about what a soldier sees in Iraq. The book takes place through the eyes of Robin Perry who is in a civil affairs unit in charge of keeping the people of Iraq happy while trying to find ‘weapons of mass destruction’. I liked the book because it always was changing to keep you reading. Id recommend it for anyone that enjoyed “Fallen Angels”.
