I really liked the book. The main character, Macy, has to struggle with many different problems. In the beginning of the book, Macy’s father dies and Macy has to deal with it but it is very difficult for her. During the book, you could see how Macy changes. Many things could have caused this change, such as her boyfriend going to Brain Camp or her new catering job at Wish. But you will find out while reading this book. I really liked how Sarah Dessen connects her books. In this book she brings up some places she already had in her book ‘Keeping the Moon’.

The Truth About Forever is a very good book. After the death of her best friend and father, Macy Queen struggles to move on with her life. Unable to confide in her mother, she starts dating Jason, an extremely smart boy. When Jason leaves for Brain Camp, Macy realizes how bland her life is and finds a job with Wish Catering. She meets Wes, Delia, Kristi, and Bert, who help her get back to life before her father's death.

Everyone searches for something in life whether they know it or not; some people are lucky enough to find what they are looking for but not before fleeting thru the strenuous obstacles that life throws at them. Macy is a girl who witnessed her father’s death and has since closed off the outside world to reach a level of perfectionism to where no one can hurt her. Then, by chance, she is thrown into the chaos of catering company, Wish, where she meets an unlikely group of people, that are no stranger to sorrow, who help her break down the wall that holds back reality. I really enjoyed this book because Macy had to slowly heal; it wasn’t an instant realization that she wasn’t perfect because she is human and feelings are human. What I really loved about this book, was that the characters all had gone thru pain and misery to seek redemption, acceptance, and love; but never once start feeling sorry for themselves or let other pity them. They accept who they are and the events that molded them into the people that they are now. All in all, it was a pretty decent book, but it isn’t for those who seek adventure or hardcore romance novels; plus no gets shanked or stabbed, so it’s also not for people who are into physical violence but more so for those people who are looking for resolving emotional problems or changing as a person. It wasn’t a thriller or even that funny but the quirky mind of Macy won me over in the end and made me trill on finding a great ending to a fine book.

**I thought this book was Ok, its kind of long. Macy looses her father and her boyfriend goes away to brain camp for the summer. What is Macy suppose to do all summer with her boyfriend? She gets a job working at the library which she hates. She also gets a job working for a catering business, which is loves. She makes new friends and is really enjoying the summer now. She even meets Wes a guy that works for Wish and they start playing a game name truth. Macy and her mother don’t actually get along and her mother tells her to stop hanging out with her new friends. Macy’s mother has never broke down and cried about the death of her husband, all she ever does is work.

**** I really enjoyed this book. Macy, the main character, has some problems when her relationship with Jason goes downhill. They go on a brea and she ends up getting a job for catering and falls in love with another guy. She also has problems when her dad's death, who was also her best friend. She stopped running because she couldn't deal with it, because that's how her dad died, one morning when he went running, he just collapsed. When she starts her new job, she meets a cute guy named Wes. In the book, they play a game named 'truth', they had to ask a question and the other person had to answer truthfully or they lost the game. The rules kept changing because they weren't happy it. They finally came to an agreement on how the game ended and you will have to read the rest to figure out what happens!
