Percy is back with another new quest with Annabeth and his big new friend Tyson to save Grover and of course stop a massive war with the gods. This book promises to be as adventurous as the last but with new characters, more reveled secrets and explanations, and of course tons of drama and action! Thalia’s tree is poisoned and the camp’s defenses are totally destroyed allowing all sorts of monsters and bad guys to overrun it. The worst part of this is that Chiron was suspected of poisoning the tree and was banished from camp so he can’t help guide Percy or Annabeth. To top it all of, Percy has been having weird dreams about Grover in a bizarre situation involving a wedding dress, Cyclops, and man-eating sheep and he’s in big trouble. I really liked this second book because it really was just as good as the first and I wasn’t disappointed in it. Of course, I’m desperate to get to the next one!

*** The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan is the 2nd book of the series. And this book is about Thalia’s tree getting poisoned and camp half-blood is in danger of being destroyed. And Percy meets a new friend in Tyson, a baby Cyclops. And the three of them sneak out of camp half blood to save Grover from being killed. This book promised to be as good as the 1st but in my opinion the 1st book, The Lightning Thief was better. This is a good book and I liked it, and recommend it to anyone who wants to read this series, but it wasn’t as good as the 1st book.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Sea Of Monsters. The second book in the series, out of the three books I’ve finished, it is my favorite. This fallows the path of Percy Jackson and he has to go save Thalia the daughter of Zeus’s tree. Percy and his new found half-brother Tyson the Cyclops and Annabeth the daughter of Athena. Must travel the Bermuda triangle to save Grover the Satyr and get the Golden Fleece to heal Thalia’s tree. This book was based on the experiences of the hero Odysseus. Fallowing his original epic the odyssey but in a much more modernized way with a few changes. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys humor and mythology.
