** The Bluest Eye, the reason why I think this book is just okay is because I thought it was difficult to follow. It is the story of a young African American girl during 1941, is a time when life for African Americans is difficult because they aren't treated equally with whites. The main character, Pecola Breedlove, wishes that she could look like a white girl. Her life is anything but like a white girls. There is no reason her life should have been so bad, other people just have no control and are mean. I kind of don't recommened this book unless you like war books.
