****. The book Daughter of China by Hope Flinchbaugh, was a very good book. In this book there is a girl named Mei Lin who is a Christian. The only problem is that she lives in China, which does not allow anyone to be other then the religion that they say. Mei Lin is a part of a group that are Christians. When her and her friend decide that they are going to put out posters and fliers in their school so that other can know of the joys of god. When she gets caught she gets into trouble. This book is all about the problems that she faces and how she overcomes all that is thrown at her. I really liked this book. I thought it was sad but also very in detail with what happened. I thought that it, like other books in this unit, make you appreciate all that you have and make you feel bad for having it. I think that if you like books that are interesting but also very sad, then you will like this book a lot.
