Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card is an amazing book. This addition to the Ender’s series takes place around three thousand years after Andrew Wiggin’s triumphant defeat of the buggers in the bugger war. Andrew accompanied by his sister Valentine travel the hundred worlds virtually un-aged due to realistic space travel each with for their own reasons. Andrew travels as a speaker for the dead telling the tales of the dead to any who call upon him and Valentine travels with him making detailed records of every planet they visit. The story takes place on a planet colonized by Brazilians named Lusitania. Lucitania is special because it’s the only planet in the hundred worlds to have known intelligent life other than humans. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good sci-fi story.
