The Rifle*** The setting in this book takes place in 1768. The main character Cornish McManus is building rifles trying to make a living in a town near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cornish care about his rifle making and his boss John Wainwright doesn’t like how he works so slow. I really liked this book for a few reasons; one was because of the author. Every book that I have ever read by Gary Paulsen has been great. I also like it because this book takes place during revolutionary times, which I find very interesting and exiting. This is a good, easy read. And if you want to read a qualify book in a short time, this book is for you.
